You know those beautiful people that glitter and glisten and brighten your day? Keep them close. Keep them so close and never let them go. Thanksgiving was only a couple of days ago, but pretend it’s all the time. Remember every day that you know the most lovely shining examples of humans that it is possible to find in this big wide world, and tell them that you love them, and tell them that you are thankful for them. Tell them that they are jewels and gems in a world of lab created and imitation diamonds… and oh, gosh, there are more of them out there to find!

you, yes you, come here. come look closely at the ground & how the grass is planted, solidly into the ground. look at the sky & how the clouds are constantly changing shape & blowing every which way. look at the trees & how their leaves are falling to the ground or blossoming into beautiful flowers. sit, watch how everything is happening. quiet now. it’s all really happening. now, look closely at your hands. picture the blood rushing through your veins. the energy pulsating through you. you are a complex creature. you’re composed of so many things. you, just like the earth, are solidly grounded your roots to the soil feeding on the energy flowing out of the earth. like the clouds you are constantly moving & constantly changing, reshaping yourself & your future. like the trees you blossom & you shed your skin when the seasons (the reasons) change. unlike the trees, the clouds, the grass we cycle through these things multiple times a day & oh does it get hard to keep those roots planted! we’re constantly trying not to get blown away when the winds change & the weather is a little less than lovely. we curl our toes & harness the wind in our lungs. we plant ourselves firmly & think ‘i will not be swayed by you, oh, strong wind! i will stand my ground!’ day after day we plant our seed in everything we do. everything we love. we make sure that day after day (year after year) there will be a little part of us & everything to stand strong & live life & make something beautiful.

Schools with libraries and public computers make this so easy. One method I prefer as a way to spread a little love and catch people out of their routines is to switch the home page of a browser, like firefox, safari, internet explorer, etc. to Y.A.R.
This can be done by going up to the top menu, where file, edit, etc. live and finding the browser preferences option. On Firefox go up to Tools>Options>Main and there will be a box that has the address of what you’d like to set the homepage to enter youareremarkable.wordpress.com. On other browsers it should be a similar option.

If you prefer to stay unaffiliated, feel free to set the homepage to some other kind of positive image or webpage. Something to catch people off guard, something to break the monotony of checking email, facebook, and melting in front of the screen.

here is one way to grasp how extraordinary your body is: think of your body as a beautiful fruit tree. your finger tips are the beautiful blossoms which produce the fruit which is the love of everyone you touch. your legs, your arms, are the strong strong limbs that outstretch keeping you close to everything. your torso is the trunk, which keeps your body sturdy & gives your body the nutrients.

your tree houses many beautiful creatures: a brain which is where your creativity is (a momma bird & her little babies.) you must build your nest with books & stories & experiences. weave them all together nice & tight & your creativity will be reborn & reborn. then their is your heart which is where your love pump pump pumps out of every second (this heart doesn’t need to be represented as any creature because every tree has a heart! a center.) your tree also houses, most importantly, your soul. (your soul are the ants which live in the tree. they work, invisible to the eye, constantly carrying the weight of things much bigger than themselves.)

your body is beautiful! it has to be. your body is beautiful regardless of what someone might say, or if your reflection does not look like that on a tv screen/magazine. your body is beautiful regardless of what a scale might show or if it is a different shape from those you know. your body is beautiful & strong. your body is yours. own your body, love your body.
