MTV is casting for a new show. they are casting what they perceieve to be overweight BUT beautiful girls who they will put through extreme dieting & exercise so they can obtain a model body & make their dreams come true. “Women come in all shapes and sizes, but models don’t.” excuse me mtv?
the girls they are searching for:
-weighs 130-190
-is 5′9″-6′ tall
even a girl who stands at 5′9″ & weighs 168 still falls into a healthy BMI. that’s the shortest they’re asking for & the mid. weight they’re asking for. a girl who stands their tallest at 6″ can weigh just about up to 190 & still have a healthy BMI. young women already starve themselves, exercise obsessively, & take drugs to obtain the “ideal” model weight as it is portrayed by the media. we turn a blind eye. now a network is going to essentially be promoting this (sans the drugs use) & it’s okay?
it’s not okay.
get mad & take a stand

That is disgusting. I’ve emailed them to tell them they suck and just lost a viewer.

I wish I could slap people like this in the face, and I am not a violent person.

Seriously?
Like females (and males, for that matter) don’t have enough stuff to deal with.
This is just perpetuating the belief that it’s OK for models to be unhealthy.
I will gladly do anything I can to stop this show in its tracks.

I’m eligible, that’s a blow to the old self esteem.
Do people really watch these shows?!
